Protecting Yourself

Phishing attacks are becoming more sophisticated, so please be cautious with unexpected emails, messages, or calls requesting personal or financial information.

For our part, ARC has implemented robust security measures to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your data. Our team is dedicated to staying vigilant and proactive against potential threats to maintain the highest standards of data protection.

Please take a moment to review the following red flags to watch out for:

Fake Emails, Text Messages or Phishing Scams

Scammers often send fake emails or text messages that appear to be from legitimate companies. These emails may ask you to click on a link, provide personal information, or download an attachment.

  • Red flags: Generic greetings, poor grammar and spelling, urgent or threatening language, suspicious links or QR codes, requests for sensitive information.
  • What to do: Always verify the sender’s email address to ensure it comes from our official domain @arctick.org and contact our customer support team if you are unsure.
Fraudulent Phone Calls

Some scammers may call you pretending to be from the Australian Refrigeration Council or other organisations. These callers often claim they need personal information or demand payment for supposed outstanding payments.

  • Red flags: Unsolicited calls asking for personal or financial information, aggressive tactics, or promises of prizes.
  • What to do: Hang up and call our official customer service number to verify any information. ARC will never request your bank details or any sensitive information via email, phone calls, or any other electronic means.
Fake Websites

Fraudulent websites may look very similar to ours, attempting to trick you into entering payment details or personal information.

  • Red flags: URL variations, incorrect spelling in domain names, or unprofessional website design.
  • What to do: Always verify the website address starts with "https://" and ensure it matches the official domain of arctick.org.

If you have any doubts about any communication you receive, please reach out to us at 1300 88 44 83 or visit our website www.arctick.org
