The Australian Small Business Champion Awards are a prestigious and comprehensive program that supports and recognises small businesses across Australia. Founded in 1999 in New South Wales, the awards have been national since 2007, recognising the achievements of outstanding small businesses from across Australia.

There were more than 5,500 entrants in this year’s awards, which are judged by representatives from a variety of industries who have relevant experience or an understanding of the operations of a small business.

ARC chief executive officer Glenn Evans said the award recognised not only environmental outcomes but also the quality of the business behind them.

Other finalists in the Environmental Business category include rural enterprises, recycling businesses and solar energy suppliers.
