NSW RAC businesses to benefit from $40 million energy efficiency initiative

The ARC has been working with the NSW Government to assist them in developing a framework to deliver more than $40 million in incentives for consumers to upgrade their air conditioning and refrigeration to more energy efficient models.

This is part of the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage’s ‘Power to Save – Household and Small Business Upgrade’ Program.

Part of this program is an opportunity for interested refrigeration and air conditioning businesses to tender to administer the High-Efficiency Air-Conditioner Round (AC Round) - which is the administration of the incentive scheme. The successful tender would be responsible for:

  • creating a paperless Administration System to gather evidence required under the AC Round
  • registering Installers to participate in the AC Round
  • processing Incentive Claims from Installers
  • managing customer service and handling complaints
  • auditing Installers and Installations to ensure the right AC unit is installed properly at the right site and that the Incentive Claim is not fraudulent or incorrect - These audits will include a combination of site visits, customer surveys and documentation checks

Tenders close 2nd July 2018.
